The Approval Voting Party in Colorado seeks to pass legislation at state and local levels that will permit the use of Approval Voting, and to require the Colorado Secretary of State to create rules for the use of Approval Voting in all elections in Colorado.
This work requires that proponents act as citizen lobbyist. Our opposition has deep pockets, and a passion to maintain the status quo of choose-one plurality voting and ballot control. To do battle in this arena of ideas and issues, we need funding in cash and sweat equity.

Colorado’s newest party is seeking citizens of the state to register to vote as Approval Voting Party members.
The Approval Voting Party has been established in Colorado. On October 1st 2019 over one-thousand Colorado voters have registered as AVP which was founded in late 2018.
The second statewide convention will be held in Denver on March 1st 2020.
